Rangers of the Midden Vale - Geek Gamers’ Best “Non-Solo Ruleset” of 2022!

Let me tell you, I am stoked about this one! Rangers of the Midden Vale made it into geek gamers’ Best Games of 2022 - specifically as the best non-solo ruleset. While I didn’t write Rangers to be a solo-RPG (I’ve only ever played one solo-RPG), I’m glad it provides the tools necessary to allow someone to go on adventures if they don’t have a full table lined up. geek gamers highlights the encounter tables, which were the heart and soul of Rangers, and as I was watching the video it made me want to revisit that kind of project.

While I intend on working on Dungeon23 in the upcoming year and getting Bullets & Bourbon off the ground during ZiMo23, I might also get to work on another Rangers-like project. There’s something really fun from a creator’s perspective about coming up with unconnected prompts and building a narrative between each event and location.
