NUKED! funding at 52%!

Thanks to the support of generous backers (if you’re one of them, thank you!), NUKED!: A Radioactive Knave Hack is already halfway to its funding goal! What does this mean? Honestly it means a lot! Since NondairyGiant and I decided to go with Itchfunding, it’s not an all-or-nothing campaign, but rather we can choose to utilize the money we’ve received as it comes in. With the money we’ve already raised, we’re able to pay an experienced game editor to go through and not only check for grammar and spelling, but also make sure that the rules remain consistent through the document (checking for out-of-date information, consistent terminology, that kind of stuff). Once that is done, we can send the document over to a professional layout designer and turn our ashcan rulebook into something… forgive the pun (or don’t)… totally radical. The idea is to have a rulebook that looks like it could come straight out of the wasteland - a guide to survival, perhaps.

So what would the remaining half of funding get us? Primarily a larger print run, allowing us to sell copies long term. Currently we have enough money to print copies for the backers of the project, but not enough to have extras for folks who maybe want to wait until later to pick up their own zine. It also puts a little extra money in mine and NondairyGiant’s pockets, giving us some breathing room for future projects, such as NUKED! adventures and companion zines. We’ve both got a few ideas for expanding the game with optional “bolt-on” rules and a handful of adventures to be run the Post-Blast wasteland.
